Spring Alert: How to Avoid Sun Spots

Skin Care | Laguna Niguel, CAWith spring just around the corner, you may be having fantasies of heading outside and basking in the California sun. Before you even step out for lunch outside this spring, make sure that you keep your skin protected so that you don’t get any sun spots. But how? Dr. Pollei has a few tips for you.

SPF It Up

The best thing that you can do for your skin (other than staying inside) is to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen each and every day— rain or shine. The great thing about a broad-spectrum sunscreen is that it will protect your skin against both UVA and UVB rays both of which can cause harm to your skin.

As a tip get into the habit of either applying a sunscreen under your makeup or applying a mist sunscreen over the top of your makeup every day; that way, you never leave the house unprotected.

Wear Sunscreen

If you are the type of person who tends to get sunspots just below your eyes on the tops of your cheeks, then invest in a pair of large rimmed glasses. Large rimmed glasses won’t only make you look stylish but they will protect the sensitive skin all around your eyes and help you avoid extra sun spots.

A Hat

Whether you want something sporty like a baseball hat or something more glam like a fedora, wearing a hat will give you some extra coverage from those nasty sun spots.

If you already have sun spots that you want to get rid of, schedule a consultation with Dr. Pollei at our Laguna Niguel or Beverly Hills office and call us at 425-455-2131.
